With more than 20 years of experience, Molytex's in-house engineering team can assist you in complex decision making in regards to metal replacement, high performance polymers or pros and cons of adding various additives like carbon fibers, PTFE or metal powder to name a few.
The selection of polymer and additives often have implications on the mold-design. Molytex involve the mold maker and other sub contractors at an early stage to ensure an actively engaged supply chain in the project. Specifically this means that there is no one-size-fits-all, and all projects is engineered and designed according to the product specifications.
Product development is also a matter of choosing between in-mold solutions or options of reworking the part after the injection molding process. This could be over-molding of metal parts, insert threads or drilling holes or threads to reworking standards.
